I'm working on an animatic for my storyboarding class and I thought I'd go ahead and post my model sheets since the actual animatic probably won't be finished for another couple of weeks. The premise of the assignment was "somebody wants a bite of your dinner" so I decided to have mine set in the galley of a pirate ship :)
These are my character model sheets, some development sketches, and my rough layout. In my original story concepts Finn was supposed to be a villain, but his design was too friendly. I needed something to make him more antagonistic and terrible, so I gave him Crocs, because only terrible people wear Crocs :)
Great to see your work again! I'm very glad to see everything has been going very well at Ringling. I remember that first commission I did for you a year and a half ago. God, I think we've come a long way. I'm now residing in Burbank, California in the heart of the industry.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm glad you moved on from DA and the whole nine yards. We have better futures beyond that!
Nice to hear from you Richard! We have come a long way indeed! Congrats on moving out to Burbank, I hope to be out that way in the near future as well! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your work. Really great stuff Janice. Hopefully we will get to work on projects together someday because I know you are going places. :D
